Cashew Shell Friction Dust
A fine abrasive industrial by-product derived from carbonised cashew shell — planned for production after ICBC’s processing expansion.
What friction dust is
Cashew shell friction dust is a fine abrasive powder produced from carbonised cashew shell. It is used as a functional filler and friction modifier in friction materials, where it contributes controlled abrasiveness and thermal stability.
Typical industrial uses: brake pads, clutch linings, friction materials and resin-bonded abrasives.
Why cashew shell friction dust is valued: controlled particle size, heat resistance and good binder compatibility make it a useful component in resin-bonded friction formulations.
